The EFD phase 2 is being executed from 1st December 2018 and tentatively completed by 30 November 2021. The EFD Project has been implemented in Vietnam since July 2015, and EFD phase 1 was implemented from July 2015 to September 2018. The Project aims to provide business development support, access to finance and networking opportunities to SMEs that are providing positive social impacts to small scale farmers, women and youth. The overall goal is for small-scale farmers, women and youth directly benefiting from the project to have better access to employment, see their incomes increase, and have more access to relevant products and services to empower them. The first specific objective of this project is to increase SMEs financial and social sustainability and impact. Secondly, the Project aims to influence the social and political environment to ensure a more enabling environment for future sustainable SME growth (particularly of social enterprises and inclusive businesses). The project expects to achieve indirect outcomes in different value chains the SMEs operate in, e.g. in terms of employment and compliance with social and environmental standards at supplier level.

The EFD phase 2 has four components that include Business Development Support (BDS), Access to Finance, piloting the quality guarantee system using PGS principles (Participatory Guarantee System) and Enabling environment for SMEs. Within BDS, we provide training, intensive coaching, networking opportunities and experience sharing among SMEs. Over the last 7 years, the EFD Project has supported more than 70 SMEs in the agriculture value chains, in which 27 SMEs have been supported in EFD phase 2.

The project aims to:

(1) Support SMEs to improve their business management for sustainable development by giving training and tailored business development services (BDS);

(2) Support SMEs to prepare for accessing investments (impact investors or conventional capital providers) to scale their business;

(3) Pilot application of advanced technology on quality monitoring and product traceability with SMEs and SSPs.

The final assessment was conducted by TDI Consulting during the period from September 2021 to January 2022. The primary aim of the final evaluation is to assess the progress towards effectiveness (results to specific objectives) and to understand the pathways to the overall objective through testing the assumptions in the proposal that underpin this project. The evaluation identifies unexpected or unplanned issues that may have hindered or facilitated the success of the project. Additionally, the evaluation outlines the lessons learned, which capture key lessons to assess what worked well and not well during project implementation and provide recommendations for future projects.

Link tham khảo: Dịch vụ tư vấn: Đánh giá cuối kỳ Dự án Doanh nghiệp Phát triển (EFD) tại Việt Nam

Oxfam tại Việt Nam hợp tác với Trung tâm Hỗ trợ Sáng kiến Phục vụ Cộng đồng (CSIP) và Trung tâm Hỗ trợ Phát triển Xanh (GreenHub) triển khai giai đoạn 2 dự án Doanh nghiệp Phát triển (EFD) được tài trợ bởi mạng lưới Doanh nhân vì Doanh nhân của Oxfam Novib và Quỹ…

[3

post-567","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-du-an
["GET
